Is it just me, or does this dress make you think of The Lion King? A friend of mine mentioned this to me when I wore it one day and now that’s all I think about when I put it on.
This is one of my favorite dresses because it’s so comfortable and flattering. The dress is from Wet Seal, but I received it as a gift from my younger sister. I’m not only obsessed with the pattern, but I also love the neckline and the way the skirt flows diagonally.
I decided to pair it with these Cherokee shoes that I found at a yard sale, in order to dress it down a bit for classes. I really enjoy the way the shoes stand out some from the overall feel of the dress, but still match the red tones in it.
A dress with a unique pattern is a great statement piece and can work well on its own. It makes it seem like you put time and effort into your appearance, when all you did was snatch it off the hanger.
I would also like to share some amazing news with you all. I just found out that I landed a spring internship with College Fashionista as a Style Guru.
I’m looking forward to this opportunity and so excited to get started. If anyone is interested in following my articles, please let me know what your email is, whether it’s in the comment section or by emailing me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would greatly appreciate any and all support!
Since the semester is wrapping up, I’m getting excited about visiting my family for the holidays. What’s your favorite part about the holiday season?
